SULFATES- WHY ARE THEY BAD FOR CURLY HAIR?

Sulfates are a key ingredient in most traditional shampoos, so you might wondering why these are so bad for curly hair?

These chemicals act as a foaming agent and remove build up. While great for straight hair (which typically gets greasy) they are simply too harsh for curly girls!

The curlier the hair, the longer it takes for the natural oils to travel through the hair.  The kinks and coils block and slow the travel of these oils, resulting in dry ends.

Sulfates will strip your gorgeous curls of their moisture. With continued use, any dry ends will become brittle and prone to breakage.

Check the ingredients on your shampoo. If Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLF) or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLEF) are present- ditch that Shampoo!!

Keep your curly hair strong and moisturised by switching to a SULFATE-FREE shampoo today!!
